ARTS & CRAFTS

The Arts & Crafts Movement in England, Scotland and the United States set out show that everyday items could be made with creativity, originality and fine workmanship. Encouraged by the example and writings of William Morris, men and women, amateur and professional, explored the byways of new decoration, frequently using the Celtic entrelac. Art Nouveau eventually emerged from these designs.
