Art Nouveau
Graphics, many of Symbolist subjects, reflect the beauty and purity of this
style, which lasted from the 1890s to about 1915. Greatly influenced by
Japanese wood-block prints, these images simplify the line, use solid bodies
of colour, and transform even a banal subject into a highly powerful creation.
